Audiovisual experimentation from a video filmed by car, by night in Beijing. Uncontrolled movements of the camera give a new reality to the lights of the night. The music is generated by the variations of the total brightness on the screen.

French artist Jean-Michel Rolland is a musician and a painter, he has been using digital art since 2010 to combine his two passions — sound and images. At the origin of each of his creations, musicality plays a role as important as imagery does and each one influences the other in a co-presence relationship. The result is a series of experimental videos, audiovisual performances, generative art, interactive installations and VJ sets where sound and image are so inseparable that the one without the other would result in a loss of meaning.
