November in Marseille, starlings gather on a crane before their big departure to Africa. The photographic trace, lost with the film, is here reinvented to show the flight of birds in a new way. Will their freedom of movement forever remain a distant dream for humanity?

French artist Jean-Michel Rolland is a musician and a painter, he has been using digital art since 2010 to combine his two passions — sound and images. At the origin of each of his creations, musicality plays a role as important as imagery does and each one influences the other in a co-presence relationship. The result is a series of experimental videos, audiovisual performances, generative art, interactive installations and VJ sets where sound and image are so inseparable that the one without the other would result in a loss of meaning.
