The base of this sculpture symbolises the role that ancestors or abaphansi play to connect the material and the spiritual world. The kite, with its constant negotiation with the wind, represents the relationship between abaphansi and those seeking spiritual purpose in the material world.

Sandile Radebe, with a BAFA (Honours) from Wits School of Arts and a PGDA in Arts and Cultural Management at Wits, has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including 30 years of Bag Factory at FADA gallery UJ (2021), Investec Cape Town Art Fair (2020), online art fairs, and exhibitions at Everard Read Cape Town, Turbine Art Fair and Circa Cape Town.

He presented a solo exhibition 'A Walk In The City' at the  National School of the Arts in 2014). His public artworks include bronze sculptures, murals and Afrika Burn installations. His gallery pieces are in private collections locally and abroad.
