







Lebanon is battling a devastating crisis. Violence, economic scarcity and infrastructural damage plague the country. Frequent electricity outages leave the people in darkness. The video artwork uses light as a medium to define everyday experiences, blurring the line between night and day. Despite being caught in a perpetual abyss, hope persists.
Emanuele Dainotti is an Italian artist and filmmaker living and working between Antwerp and Milan. Recent exhibitions and festivals include Museum of the Moving Image in the US, Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Het Nieuwe Instituut in the Netherlands, Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Germany and Tel Aviv Museum of Art in Israel.
He has won the International Competition for Intermedia Artwork in Kraków and the Now You See Me award at Louvre Museum in Paris.
In 2020, he joined Loops Expanded, an international network dedicated to exhibiting and researching the Loop concept and form.
