An interactive installation where visitors can create images with their phone’s flashlight on a phosphorescent screen in collaboration with LUCY, a robot. LUCY also traces various artist’s work. The resulting artwork glows for about two minutes before fading away.

Egbert Westra is a motion designer specialising in content for Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. In 2011 he founded LUME, a collective of artists and engineers who produce interactive light painting installations. Originally from Pretoria, he studied animation at the Open Window Art Academy and now lives and works in Cape Town. LUME has been featured at several live events, such as Playtopia in 2019. Its other members are Grant Glover, an IT professional who specialises in networks and IT security and makes robots in his spare time, and Etienne de Villiers a professional game developer, most recently working on Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout.
