As she stalks the streets of Accra, Lhola Amira tackles her preconceptions of Ghana. But the film is not a summary of a country; it is an intentional focus on inadequate borders and geographical divisions that continue to enforce colonialism in Africa. Lhola Amira worked with local photographer Francis Kokoroko and filmmaker Wanlov Kubolor.

Lhola Amira lives and works in Cape Town. Amira's practice includes photography, video and sculpture. They completed residencies at AiRS Skövde in Sweden (2017), Jiwar Creation in Barcelona (2015) and Vasl Artists' Collective in Islamabad (2010).

Amira was included in Triennale for Contemporary Art Paradise Kortrijk, Belgium (2021), NIRIN 22nd Sydney Biennale (2020), and 33rd São Paulo Biennial (2018).

Their notable solo presentations include ‘DITAOLA: DIVINING BONES’ at Barcelona LOOP Festival (2019) and ‘SINKING: Xa Sinqamla Unxubo’ at SMAC Gallery, Cape Town (2018).
